MEMBERSHIP
Like most synagogues, we are a member-run organization. Members make financial contributions to the synagogue, which then allows them to access
our clergy and community support services, participate in our events, and have a voice in shaping our future. Most importantly, membership at CBS allows one to become part of something larger than just a place to pray, learn and socialize; membership at CBS provides one with a family.
What are the benefits of membership?
There are many reasons to join CBS, but one of the most important is that it provides you with a voice to participate in the affairs of the shul. Our daily services, educational programs, youth and family activities, and other events, are generally open to members and non-members alike. However, this programming is only possible with the support of our members, who dedicate their time and financial resources, to CBS. In turn, members are provided with the opportunity to have a say in CBS' operations and to help shape the future of CBS. Only CBS members play an active role in shaping the direction of the shul and planning for the future.
How Do I Join CBS?
Prospective members are invited to download a membership application and submit it to the CBS office by email at office@bethsholomlawrence.org or in person at the CBS office.
How Much Does CBS Membership Cost?
Annual membership at CBS consists of the following charges:

*New members have the option to defer paying the Building Fund Assessment over 4 years (from years 3 -6).
No one will be turned away based on financial considerations. Prospective members are invited to contact the CBS office to discuss their individual financial situations.
Can I Pay My Dues in Installments?
Members can pay in monthly, quarterly or other installments. Payment plans can be set up through the CBS website (by logging in to your Shul Cloud account), or by contacting the CBS office.
