CBS Cantorial Concert 2019

Dear Friends:

Our 17th Annual Cantor Moshe Ehrlich Memorial Concert is being held at Congregation Beth Sholom on Tuesday evening, June 18, 2019 at 7:45PM.

Year after year, the evening proves to be a magnificent experience, featuring first and foremost the undisputed first class talent of the performers, the varied repertoire, and the high level of energy and excitement – all translating into an extraordinary spiritual and inspirational evening, capped off by a delectable collation.

The concert once again features for the 14th consecutive year the unparalleled talent of Cantor Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, Chief Cantor of Park East Synagogue in NYC, who is acknowledged as amongst the foremost cantors in the world.

We are thrilled to have Cantor Zev Muller of the West Side Institutional Synagogue join us this year.  Cantor Muller, a member of the “younger generation” of Chazzanim, possesses a marvelous voice and a varied repertoire.  He will be joined for duets with our own Hillel Friedman, son of Helen and Mannes Friedman.

We are fortunate and look forward to the singing of our beloved Chazan Joel Kaplan, who has enhanced the davening in our Shul for over fifteen years.  As is our tradition, the foremost concert accompanist, Cantor Daniel Gildar will serve as accompanist for the performers.  We are pleased that our own Jesse Aronson Beth Sholom Choir, conducted by Maestro Eric Freeman, will perform, as well.

We are most fortunate and grateful that this year’s Performance Sponsors once again are Lynda & Ben Brafman in memory of his parents, Rose & Solomon Brafman ז"ל, and by Dr. Sherry & Joel Wiener in memory of their parents Jean & Colman Steuer ז"ל and Rose & Paul Wiener ז"ל.  The Concert will be followed by a lavish dessert collation sponsored by Lynda & Ben Brafman and Dr. Sherry & Joel Wiener.

We invite and urge all our members to join us in becoming sponsors of this outstanding event in one of the following categories: Friends ($180), Donor ($250), Patron ($360), Supporter ($500), Benefactor ($1,000), Pillar ($1,800), Founder ($2,500), and Partner ($5,000).  All sponsorships include concert tickets to the extent of the sponsorship selected, e.g. Benefactor ($1,000) includes four $250 tickets or ten $100 tickets, etc.  Sponsoring the evening is a way to both support the Shul, as well as to enjoy a fabulous evening of song and camaraderie, close to home.
